I was going to write about Israels war-history with Libanon in this post, but I stumbeled over this video on the net with a brithish guy talking about Israels crimes against Libanon. He is defending Hizbollas attacks on Israel, and debates with a reporter live on SKY news (not widely known to be a reflective or non-partic media channel.. hehe). You should really watch this if you want to know more about the situation in the middle east.

There is a war going on. In the middle east. Just.. Thought I'd let you know.

I enjoy a good debate. Like, wich side am I on, what can be done to end the war, and what can we do to prevent wars in the future. One of my main arguments in thiese debates is, anybody who feels that they've been treated unfair, will react with their voices or demonstrations or whatever. If the ones treating them unfair keeps doing whatever they're doing long enough without listening, the opressed will sooner or later resolve to violence. I also have a tendence to take side with the weak side in a conflict. Like in the middle east.

I generally don't like statistics or numbers, because they can often be misused. But here is some interesting numbers from ifamericansknew.org.

> The U.S. gives $15,139,178 per day to the Israeli government and military and $232,290 per day to Palestinian NGO’s.

> Since September 29, 2000: 1,084 Isralis deaths and 7,633 injuries.
> 4,157 Palestinians deaths and 30,659 injuries.

> The media, especially the american, have a tendence to "support" Israel, with not publishing material that put them in bad light. Here are some numbers from ifamericansknew.org about childrens deaths in the conflict, and the media coverage in america.

* In 2004, when 8 Israeli children were killed and 179 Palestinian children were killed, NBC reported on 100% of Israeli children’s deaths and on 10% of Palestinian children’s deaths, ABC on 100% and 11%.
* The New York Times reported on 50% of Israeli children’s deaths and 7% of Palestinian children’s deaths.
* In the first six months of the current uprising – during which time four Israeli children were killed and 93 Palestinian children were killed – the San Francisco Chronicle reported prominently on 150% of the Israeli children’s deaths (through repetitions) and on 5% of the Palestinian children’s deaths.
* A 2004 study of Portland’s Oregonian newspaper revealed headline coverage on 88% of Israeli children’s deaths and on 2% of Palestinian ones.

When america fully support the strong side of the situation, and refuses to listen weak side, then is seems pretty obvious to me that the weak side want to resolve to violence. I'm not saying that the american people don't support the palestinians. I say that the government and media in america obviously don't want to support the palestinan people, or let the citizens know the full story.

I live in a small oil-state called Norway. It's not a small state areal-wise, but with 4.5 million people living here, we shouldn't really have much to say in this big world. The media here have the past years been covering more and more of both sides of the conflict, reporting wether it is a palestinian or israeli attack. The christian conservatives have been yelling for some time now that the media here is "pro-palestine", "pro-hamas" and of course the classic "pro-terrorist".

..And; Can you teach me to paint like you do?

Okay, this must be the lamest questions you get when you´re draw or pait or whatever. I won´t write this post like I am an great artist trying to teach other people the rights or wrongs in making art, or working your way to become an big artist (hell, Im not even 20 yet). I´m just gonna explain how I came to the level I am in style, lines, ideas and progress.

I follow thiese rules:
1) Don´t do fan art trying to copy the original art or style.
2) Work with all kinds of media. acrylics, charcoal, digital, small canvas, wall painting, spraypaint etc..
3) Draw when you´re bored. If you don´t have any ideas about what to draw, draw your hand or the coffee can. With faces. (you get the idea..)
4) DONT USE ERASER WHEN YOU SKETCH!! Draw the lines over and over again if they are wrong.
5) Experement with forms. Try to draw see-trough-objects in 3d (like 3d-modeling). Works great when you draw people too!
6) Don´t worship big artists and say to yourself that you´ll never reach their level. If you keep evolving, work regularly and keep your mind open for all styles, you will sooner or later end up with you´r own.
7) Art is everywhere! ...but the web is a good place to find it.

I grew up with parent´s who told me fairytales when I was lying in my bed. I think that is some of the reason I have the ability to make wierd pictures in my head. Most people have the ability to make thiese pictures in their head either it be a scene or a atmosphere.. But when it comes to create this image on a paper, they fail to describe it. I allways fail to describe what I have in my head, but I keep doing it hoping that one day I have the skills and tools to do it.

I have used several p2p programs (Like napster, Edonkey, Limewire etc) without much luck finding the stuff I´m searching for, and most of the time ending up with crap quality mp3´s.
After a fried´s recommadation I tried a program called Soul Seek, of course not expecting much as it is a p2p program. It works like DC++. I tried it out, and it works great. The users control their upload/ download limits, and what they share. You´ll find full albums, single songs, and with luck you´ll find b-sides and rarities of your favourite artists.
I recommend that you share all your music, so that other users can find stuff just like you.

You´ve probably heard of Bit-Torrent, and here is how it works.
1. You need a program to handle the Bit-Torrent files. (A)
2. Then you need a site to find the Bit-Torrent files youre searching for. (B)
3. When you found the stuff you´ve searched for, you download the Bit-Torrent file (Takes a couple of seconds with broadband connection).
4. Open the Bit-Torrent file with the program. (A)
5. Choose saving location

Now it should start downloading.

(A) The program - Azureus
